In our lives, we have all come across someone that has changed us significantly. Whether this person was only in your life for a few minutes of a few years, you have an attachment to them that you can never change. This person is the one who always ends up coming back no matter the case. They will get on a plane and always get off in the city that is closest to you, but we never truly notice this do we? In On The Road, we meet the character of Dean Moriarty. Dean was the everlasting constant for the protagonist, Sal. No matter what year, what day, or where Sal was, Dean always managed to find a way back to him. Although their friendship wasn't years worth of significant memories, high school reunions, or every day visits, it was something that Sal kept with him as he went through his journey of life.
